Beyond the Bright Sea by: Lauren Wolk

I started to read this book because of the cover( It was so pretty 😍). I had no idea what the plot was about, and the plot surprised me. This is the second historical fiction book I read about leprosy colonies. And leprosy colonies are so depressing. It is so sad what happened to these people and how they had to live out the end of their life. It took me a minute to get into this, but once I did it was a pretty solid read.
